This easy to fly kite was a super hit with my grand kids. The two year old's felt great as they could fly (hold) a big kite just like the older kids. It stayed up on it's own with out any help. The older kid's liked flying it as well. It was so easy to do it made Grandpa a really big hit. Thanks.

Love the kite. Had a bit of a problem with assembly. One of the Limbs of the kite was twisted. Had to force the strut out of it holes, untwist, and re insert. Not a big deal, but scared me to bend the fiber glass strut in that manner
Looking forward to flight day.

I bought this kite primarily for its cool looks but also on the quality of other X-Kites I have purchased in the past. And yet again, I have had another great experience with X-Kites.
Any kite with a lot of spars is going to take a little while to set up (away from the wind) but this kite was quicker to set up than anticipated. The instructions were very clear and futhermore to my surprise is that all of the spars are color-coded and secured at one end. That means you won't misplace a spar or get confused as to where to put the spars. Smart addition!
It flew well on fairly light line in a decent wind (10-15mph) and did not pull too hard, any school-age kid or child should be able to get this kite off the ground (with an adult). As with most kites, if the wind slows, a quick tug on the kite line will usually make it climb again.
Kites of this type (box kites) generally need more wind than other kites so save it for a day when the wind is strong enough to blow your hat off.
Even with a strong wind, bringing it back down was a cinch. I highly recommend this kite and other X-Kites!
